Our solvent-based polyurethane (PU) foil adhesives are the preferred professional solution for gold, silver, metallic foil, and hologram transfer applications in the textile, leather, packaging, and decorative printing industries.
These adhesives offer superior adhesion strength, elasticity, gloss, and soft hand feel. They deliver outstanding performance, especially in gravure rotary printing (smog machines) for foil application on fabrics.
How to Use?
Application Method
The adhesive is applied in a thin layer to the back of the foil or directly onto the fabric/leather surface using an engraved cylinder.
Drying
Cures rapidly through solvent evaporation; semi-drying is performed in an oven at 60-80°C.
Transfer (Rotary Printing)
Foil transfer is achieved using a heated cylinder. Speed: 10-20 m/min. Press Temp: 90-130°C.
Hardener Usage
Most products are two-component; add 10-25% hardener (by weight), mix thoroughly, and apply within pot life.
Thinner
Viscosity is adjusted using solvents such as MEK or ethyl acetate.
